We want you to feel secure when you’re using our website, and especially when you’re entering sensitive personal information.

So we use a technology called Secure Sockets Layer (or SSL for short) for the areas of our website where you enter private information.  SSL does two things for you.

To take advantage of the security of SSL encryption, use “https” instead of “http” when typing the url address in your web browser.  Also, any time you visit a page that asks for personal information, we have designed the website to automatically use SSL encryption.

You can quickly verify whether the web page you are browsing is a secure page by looking for a shade of green somewhere in or near the address bar.  You will see this in Firefox, Internet Explorer, Opera, Safari, and Google Chrome browsers.

If you’re using a browser that doesn’t display the green background, look for “https” in the address bar of your browser.
