One of the advantages offered by modern technology is the superior service that can be available to those able to make the modest investment in their health and safety. Whereas 911 systems are run by government agencies and are subject to the political and fiscal pressures that are inevitable in government programs, a privately-run system (such as our personal emergency response system) can provide the highest-quality service.

The “antiquated” communications equipment being used by Southampton Village’s emergency dispatchers has failed three times in recent months and could do so again at any time, Southampton Village Police Chief William Wilson said this week.
